New Publications Initiative

The White Matter Study Group would like to announce a New Publications Initiative.

The WMSG is a close community and members are interested in staying up-to-date with publications by our colleagues in the WMSG. However, we do not exclusively publish in Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, so we often discover other member's research months after publication. WMSG.org can be used as to share our publications with other WMSG members without cluttering email inboxes. Members can visit WMSG.org, or the RSS feed (RSS feeds explained), at their leisure.

While most of us subscribe to journal alerts, there will inevitably be some articles we miss that are published in journals we do not subscribe to. Furthermore, there and instances where no alerts are possible, such as books, book chapters, and magazine articles.

If a member is interested in sharing their publication with the WMSG, It will be their responsibility to post abstracts of articles that they have recently published. Please try to post in the form of the inagural post. I will not scour the literature and post everything I find for 2 reasons: 1) it is too much work, 2) I do not want to be accused of biasing towards a subject or research group. If you are interested in bringing your research to the attention of the WMSG, please make an account with WMSG.org and post your abstracts. If you are not comfortable with this process, and still want to share your work, please contact Shannon (current student representative), Thor, or Ives (former student representatives) to post the abstract for you.

  • In order to post an abstract, select "Create content". On the new page you will have the option to create a "Story". Do so. It is OK to post abstracts in press - users can always go back later and update the publication information.

Kind Regards,

Thor
