The White Matter Study Group is seeking nominations for the position of Student Representative (2010-2011). You can nominate a colleague or yourself. To be eligible, a nominee must presently be a student member of the ISMRM, or a post-doc who is a member of ISMRM (excluding post-docs who are about to finish). Individuals who have held office in the past 18 months are not eligible.

My duties and initiatives have included judging the WMSG poster competition for the past ISMRM meeting in Honolulu, and organizing and judging the competition for the upcoming meeting in Stockholm; participating in the WMSG general meetings and emails as a voice for the student members; instigating mentorship advice for student members from more experienced members of the WMSG; and instigating a social event for WMSG members to take place during the ISMRM meeting (http://www.wmsg.org/2010/02/wmsg-social-event-ismrm-stockholm, still time to sign up and about 10 places left!).

Please submit your nominations to me by March 5th. An online ballot will commence shortly afterward. The incoming student representative will take over during the ISMRM meeting in Stockholm.
