And in case you missed the email, here is a letter from the chair of the organizing committee:
Dear fellow members of the White Matter Study Group,
With 2011 now upon us, the organizing committee for the next WMSG workshop has been busily working to bring you what promises to be a lively, educational and productive workshop on Advanced White Matter Imaging, in the beautiful city of Reykjavik, Iceland, this coming Aug. 22-26th.
The focus of the meeting will be the application of white matter imaging in neuroscience, covering such topics as white matter plasticity; change throughout neurodevelopment, and across the lifespan; as well as neurological and psychiatric disorders. The center-piece, however, will be a series of tutorials designed to provide the best practices for data acquisition and analysis for each of quantitative T2, magnetization transfer, and diffusion tensor imaging. I hope you will agree that the committee have arranged a truly stellar class of speakers, and provided a format for extended and enriching talks, with lengthy discussion periods.
For information regarding the meeting program, venue, registration, call for abstracts, etc., please visit the meeting website, www.wmsgiceland2011.com. Check back often as we will be continually adding to the site of the coming weeks, as we open registration and invite abstract submission.
For the eager beaver runners amongst the group, please also note that the Reykjavik 10km, half marathon and full marathon is on the Saturday preceding the workshop (Aug. 20, 2011), with registration closing Feb 25th (so act soon!). Male/Female winners will receive 10% off workshop registration!
On behalf of the organizing committee, we look forward to seeing you in Reykjavik for an exciting and inspirational meeting.
Sean Deoni,
Chair of the Organizing Committee
