WMSG student poster competition 2011

I am pleased to announce that the 2011 WMSG poster competition finalists were (in alphabetical order):

John Colby - Along-tract statistics allow for enhanced tractography analysis -traditional poster number 2024
Shannon Kolind – Imaging myelin water fraction to reveal novel aspects of cerebral pathology in motor neuron disease - traditional poster number 2204
Issel Anne Lim - Frequency mapping without phase wraps – electronic poster 4531
Erin Mazerolle - Hemodnamic changes can be detected in rat white matter using a hypercapnic challenge – traditional poster  number 1647
Sjoerd Vos - The appearance of the apparent diffusion coefficient in complex fiber architecture – traditional poster number 1999

And the winner was Erin Mazerolle, Institute for Biodiagnostics (Atlantic), National Research Councit, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada

On behalf of all of the judges (Dr Alex MacKay, Dr Corree Laule, Dr Claudia Wheeler-Kingshott, Emily Wood and myself), thank you to all of the participants for submitting their excellent work; it was a very tough choice!

Also thanks to the other finalists for their clear and interesting presentations, and I’d also like to say thank you to also to all the judges for reading and scoring all the abstracts submitted to the competition.
