T2 distribution or spectrum?
Submitted by thor on Tue, 02/12/2008 - 20:19.It is common in the quantitative T2 literature to see the term "T2 spectrum" instead of "T2 distribution". Using the word "spectrum" has certain implications that are simply wrong for a T2 distribution. For example, what is the Fourier tranform of a T2 spectrum?
Unfortunately, Ken Whittall's 1989 paper uses T2 spectrum and likely contributes to the different phraseology in the literature. However, work from the UBC group following the 1989 article use T2 distribution.
f,MoB,k,R
Submitted by stanisz on Sat, 02/09/2008 - 02:24.MT literature is full of confusion and it is about time to decide and choose proper (adequate) names
M0B - macromolecular pool content relative to liquid pool M0A=1
f=M0B/(M0B+1)
interestingly, f is more physical but at the same time does not scale linearly with molecular content
R and k represent MT exchange rates. If you define R you only need one constant, with k you need two kAB and reverse kBA
kAB=M0B*R
finally A and B or "free" and "solid" etc?
Maybe we should vote?
